Introduction to photography
Exercise : Photo Editing

Lecture :
Today we didn't learn about camera technique , but we learn about how to edit photo by using Photoshop. Mr.Vinod asked us to bring along our laptop last week so everyone of us managed to start smoothly. Then, Mr.Vinod taught us on how to edit a photo . He taught us how to change a colour photo into black& white, how to remove pimples, how to filter and so on. Later, he asked us to pick a photo that we took last week and start to edit .At the end, he told us to print that photo at PhotoMedia which is located at SS2/67.

Instructions:
After capturing images around the campus select the best image in your estimation, edit and prepare the image file with white borders (as directed during the Editing exercise) and print an 8x10 print from Photomedia.

Exercise:

Experience:
Photoshop is complicated and not easy but it's not totally unknown for me as when I was in high school, I was in magazine club so I did some editing for some pages of the school magazine. But I almost forgot how to edit a photo like making the background blur or cut a people...
Mr.Vinod  said that, sometimes the editors use red filter to whitening faces or for landscape editing.
Also, he said that if we have bright sky, we can enhance that sky by using red filter. However, it's not very good to use red filter when you have people.

Observation :
I noticed that to make a photo black n white, there's not only one way. It can be 1.black & white 2.desaturate .
If wanna make a picture brighter, go to Levels or by using Curves.
For exposure, it will only work if you only taken picture by ourselves, download pic from internet will not work. because there's no info recorded. Here comes to my favorite part, I've learnt how to let pimple go away, increase the freather if wanna blur the side (lasso tool) .

Findings:
*shift is to +
*alt is to -
full frame means did not crop.
I found that it's not easy to master the technique of using Photoshop, but it's interesting when it comes to erase stuff behind, or removing stuff that doesn't look nice.
