It was the first day of our photography class. After having a little ice breaking session ,Mr. Vinod did briefed us about what we are going to do throughout this module. He asked us to write down what's important for us,for examples the out line and what we will be taught throughout this module. Basically,we will be taught about the basics on how to take photos with manual mode by using DSLR and basic editing by using Photoshop. He also had assigned us our very first assignment.
Instructions:
1. Record your audio-video presentation and upload it to YouTube, and post the link in your eportfolio.
2. Write your eportfolio and upload the audio-video of the presentation and the 10 pictures along with the description. Do not forget to take the Screen-shots of the WordFile and upload it to the eportfolio as well.
3. Print hardcopy of the 10 selected pictures with the description following the instructions (margin, font, etc.) given in class and place it in your hardcopy (portfolio) folder.
In this exercise students will explain the reasons they like the chosen pictures, what they found interesting when taking/choosing or after taking/choosing the picture. Students’ have to choose pictures that are not their own as well but must credit and explain the circumstances of the picture. Student will present 5 pictures of their own and 5 pictures of 5 different photographers. By this process students exercise their ability to discern and reflect on what makes a good picture theoretically.

Self shot:
This photo was taken in Legoland,Malaysia. While waiting for my friends to finish their ride on roller coaster, I walked around with my DSLR. I captured down whatever cute decorations and I found this was the best shot among all of those! I love it because the fast shutter speed enables the water particles to be inanimate and frozen in time .
The cherry blossom season! I took this photo when me and my classmates went for cultural trip. This big tree is just beside of GyeongBok-Gong (GyeongBok Palace).I took this photo simply because I was attracted by these cherry blossoms. Everytime when I look at this photo, it makes me feel that the mother nature is so fascinating.
It was a sunny day. When I was planning to lie down on my bed, I took a look at the window and this is what comes into my eyes. I took the photo down quickly by using my camera. This is one of my favorite photo because  the way the sunlight creeps into the curtains and blinds through the plain white cloth brings out the magnificence of the shine .
This is also my favorite photo. This sea lion is so adorable and I couldn't resist its cuteness.I felt that I was so lucky because this sea lion turned its head as if I was calling him! Besides, I also like the water wave created after the sea lion moved its head up above the water.
This photograph is taken by Lisa Holloway, one of my favorite photographer. I love this photo as it captured down the moment when the little baby trying to catch the falling leaf and I can feel the pretty autumn when I look at this photo. The blurred background made the photo looks awesome and dreamy.
This photo is also taken by Lisa Holloway. This photo is fabulous as it makes me feel like the girl is in wonderland just like the movie 'Alice in the wonderland' .The slightly blurred background made it looks so fantasy and the way she smiles at the beautiful sunshine truly melts my heart.
This photo is taken by Jay Maisel-the famous modern photographer. I like this portrait because the lighting is really cool. The radiant skin of the subject was clearly reflected while the eyes bring out a sense of mysteriousness in this photo.
This photo is taken by Vincent Laforet. Eventhough it's just a black and white photo, but I like it because it made me felt like there's deep meaning inside.Water puddles on the street reflects Mother Nature and all it's glory , generating a surreal image.
I love this photo which is taken by Christina O'brien. It's a picturesque photo as Sunsets are the epitome of a amazing day casting over a silhouette.

Feedback:
-Felicia, with regards to your content, you articulated, analysed and explained your reasons for choosing the pictures presented fairly well, and in addition credited the photographers as required in the criteria, well done! You were clear and concise in your presentation fulfilling the necessary requirements of the criteria, however you could have improved your video presentation by adding a little background music, just to set the tone – although this is not necessary per se. Overall good job, keep it up.
---
Your eportfolio was clean neat and according to instructions and the reflections were insightful and I look forward to reading more of it whence the exercises begin. Keep it up!

Experience:
It's our first class and after Mr.Vinod assigned our very first assignment ,he also showed us the examples of our seniors' ePortfolios and the hard copies of their assignment for references. I was worried at first but then I was relieved as we're able to get more information from yourbrief.wordpress.com. For me, there's no difficulties on creating our own blog as I have my own private blog which allow me to share my life stories.
Observation:
When I look at what our seniors had done , I felt that maybe I'm able to do it too. But it's just what I thought, after starting this exercise , I found it's not that easy. Indeed, Photography is not easy. It is a skill that we need to learn as a photography student in order to sharpen our skill.
Findings:
I found this first exercise is kind of hard at the first time, but I knew that day by day our work gonna be more harder and complicated! (I guess?) I hope I will be able to do well in every assignments in the future, and I can't wait to learn more about photography from Mr. Vinod.
