Assignment 1: State of Mind

Artist that I've chosen is Martin O'neill. 

• hand mde collage
• Italian & English press cuttings 
• hand cut collage
• evolves collage, silkscreen ,photography, paint and digital techiniques
• unique and instantly recognisable style

 Basically, I got inspired by these few piece of art work. 

• 
  

What I've done is , I tried to apply things I like into this collage, eg: guitar, polka dots, photography,food,air plane,nature and etc. Based on what Martin O'neill has done, I found he did alot of work with human figure and faces on its and ome very unique work like replacing faces with stripes and so on. Therefore,  I used water colour, cut and paste technique, doodle while doing this and I even replace human with cup and tumbler,  then I produced these 3 art piece on 300grm water colour paper. Besides, I also tried to play with texture by printing different type of texture which I found online, and paste them above the 'cup' on one of that art piece. These 3 art pieces are not independent , but they can combine together to become a long landscape art piece. I kinda like this concept as , they can be independent at the same time they can be a very nice combination.

I'm so sorry that I was not able to show up in this video as I was having 2 weeks medical leave and 2 more weeks with my face mask on since I was having chicken pox.
